MOLISA's genuine drug discovery projects are based on discoveries and chemical
skills of MOLISA founders and employees. The strategy essentially relies on the
exploitation of validated and structurally characterized drug targets that are
used for in silico screening, HTS and finally structure-based rational design
of new drugs against infectious diseases.
MOLISA focuses on bacterial and parasitic infections which are - a priori or due
to drug resistances - not or hardly treatable, such as:
· Tuberculosis
· different forms of Leishmaniasis
· Human African Trypanosomiasis
· Chagas' Disease
· Helicobacter pylori infections
· Staphylococcus aureus infections
That R&D program qualifies MOLISA as a partner of pharmaceutical companies
in the early phases of drug discovery.
Furthermore, it supports activities of non-profit organisa-tions that are devoted
to the discovery and development of novel therapeutic strategies.
